Group Sessions

Group sessions are a fantastic way to bring everyone together and give coaches (and admins) plenty of control and visibility. Here’s the scoop:

  • Connect with Ease: Group sessions create amazing opportunities for interaction among participants. 🤝

  • Manage with Control: Coaches and admins have great oversight and management tools at their disposal.

  • Big or Small: While the platform supports up to 45 coachees, most groups are smaller for a more personal touch.

  • Coaching Team: You can have up to 5 coaches in a group session, ensuring diverse input and support. 🎓

Group sessions look and feel a lot like 1:1 sessions on the platform, making it easy to navigate and manage. Dive in and make the most of these dynamic interactions.

Notable Features of Group Sessions 🌟

Here’s a handy guide to the standout features of group sessions:

  • Scheduling:

    • Coachee Scheduling: Coachees can't schedule group sessions—this is all managed by the lead coach or admin.

    • Multiple Coaches: When setting up a group session with several coaches, you’ll choose which coach’s availability to follow and who will be the primary scheduler. It’s like picking the best captain for your team.

What If the Group Coaching Engagement Has More Than One Coach? Who Does the Session Scheduling?

ℹ️ Important Note: If a group coaching engagement has multiple coaches ONLY the admin can schedule sessions for the coaches and coachees. We want to avoid allowing coaches to override each other’s calendars. If coaches have the ability to schedule or complete sessions, they might also change the session duration, which could inadvertently affect payments for other coaches. Keeping calendar permissions streamlined helps us maintain a balanced and efficient process for everyone involved - for these reasons, only admins can schedule when there are 2+ coaches on a group coaching engagement.

Let’s continue with Group Session Features, Shall We? 🌟

  • Attendees:

    • Status Section: This card gives you a snapshot of who’s joining, complete with avatars. It’s like a roll call with a friendly face.

    • Updating Attendees: Need to add or remove people? Use the 'Update Attendees' button. The dialog lets you pick attendees individually or all at once.

    • Status Details Pane: Click 'Status Details' to get a detailed report on attendance. It’s your go-to tool for tracking engagement and making sure everyone’s in the loop.

Who Can Update Attendees?

ℹ️ Important Note: Admins and stakeholders can update attendees. Internal coaches

1:1 Sessions offer a blend of scheduling ease and organizational flexibility, plus they can be a key part of your coaching strategy. Here’s how they work:

The Power of 1:1 Sessions

  • Efficient Scheduling: Fit these sessions seamlessly into your group coaching program. Use them periodically throughout the program or as special breakouts to give coachees some personalized attention.

  • Flexibility with Multiple Coaches: If your program includes several coaches, you can leverage this! Divide your cohort among the coaches for individual 1:1 sessions, or mix and match coaches within group sessions. It’s all about optimizing your coaching impact.

What Coachees See for their 1:1 Sessions

For coachees, their 1:1 session view will be consistent whether it’s part of a group engagement or a solo session. They’ll have access to all the essentials:

  • Scheduling: Pick a time that works best.

  • Session Topics: View and prepare for each session.

  • Topic Details: Get into the nitty-gritty of what will be covered.

  • Comments and Notes: Jot down and review important points.

In essence, 1:1 sessions provide a personalized touch while integrating smoothly into your broader coaching framework.

Coach View of 1:1 Sessions

Here's a peek into what coaches see during a 1:1 session:

  • Single Coach: View your session details, schedule sessions, mark your sessions as ‘complete’, and view the status details dropdown view to see the progress for each of your coachees.

  • Status Details Pane: The Status Details Dropdown provides a clear overview of all individual 1:1 sessions between the coach and each coachee. This means you can effortlessly track and manage multiple sessions from one central spot.

So, while you might be juggling several coachees, everything you need is neatly organized in one place.

When it comes to 1:1 sessions in a group or team coaching setup, here are some nifty new features to enhance your experience:

1. Mark Complete

  • Marking Sessions as Completed: These are done manually as a way for coaches and admins to track the overall progress of the engagement at a higher level. This does not update the ‘Status Details” pane for each individual’s progress, you would need to update each individual manually within the status details pane.

2. Status Details Dropdown Pane

  • Overview at a Glance: The Status Pane gives you a snapshot of all coachees involved in the session and their current status. For deeper insights into each session, you can dive into the Analytics Tab in your engagement.

3. Status Details Dropdown Pane - Part 2

  • Detailed Session Management: The Status Details Dropdown is where the magic happens. Here, you can manage and explore the details of each individual 1:1 session and group session and manually mark their attendance.

Exploring the Status Details Dropdown Pane

The Status Dropdown is your hub for all things related to individual 1:1 sessions and group sessions. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • 1:1 Session Details at a Glance: The dropdown displays a list of all 1:1 sessions between the coach and each coachee. You’ll see the status of each session and have access to a handy 3-Dot Menu for quick actions.

  • Group Session Details at a Glance: The status details dropdown will display all the coachees who are part of the group session, and as a coach, you can mark their attendance. However, ADMINS have more options, such as sending messages, marking them as absent, or removing attendees.

  • Interactive Rows: Each row in the list is clickable. Select any row to dive into the Session Details View for more in-depth information. (i.e. To view the notes you added to a coachee, etc)
