Once you have completed making your Independent Coach account, you may learn how to set up your Personal Settings, Make Templates, Add Clients, and start using Engagements.

Personal Settings

  • You can manage My Settings via the menu in the upper right corner to update profile information and photo, timezone defaults, notifications and more.

General

  • On your profile you can upload a photo, change the email address associated with your account, enter a phone number, specify your gender, and set your default language and time zone.

  • You may choose whether you are accepting clients. This makes you available to your Coachees.

  • You can also update your ongoing engagement capacity.

Sync Your Calendar

Syncing your calendar enables the scheduling feature for your coachees.

  • Sync calendars with iCloud, Google, Office 365, Exchange, and Outlook.

  • Go to Calendar Settings and click Add Calendar.

For more details on how to sync a calendar, check out the article below.

Helpful Tip: Once a coach has shared their availability coachees can start scheduling sessions.

Notifications

The notifications panel allows control of account notifications that can be set globally or individually.

  • Global Notifications control whether the app will receive notifications across all accounts via app notifications and email.

  • Email Notifications can be set here so that all engagement notifications will follow to the defaulted settings.

Coach Profile

To begin filling out your coach profile, click on your icon from the top right of the screen and select ‘My Profile’. Coaches will have the option to add a summary, select their target audience and specialities, and include other information such as their work history and educational background.

Company Branding Settings

Coaching.com offers the option to brand your account portal.

  • From your Company Settings page click on Branding.

  • There are 4 categories you can edit: Email Notifications, Square Logo, Full Logo, and Brand Colors.

Manage Global Resources

The resources page is where users can upload global and confidential resources. Global admins will also be able to create custom forms to include within a program template, create theme libraries, and also upload files and share with their coachees through an engagement.

To learn more about managing global resources, check out the article below for more details.

Engagement Templates

Admins can create a new program template or duplicate a current one.

  • From your Account Settings click on Engagement Templates.

  • Click Create New.

  • Enter a Name and optionally select a Program to copy, then click Save.

Adding Clients

You may add personal clients or client companies.

  • If coaching several people at one Company, add the Company first, then add Coachees.

  • If coaching an individual, choose to add an individual client.

To learn more about how to add clients and coachees, check out the article below.

Add Admins

If you have admins or assistants who help manage the overhead of your account portal for you, then you will be able to add the user as an admin and send them an invitation.

  • Head to your Company Settings, then click on Admins.

  • Select Add Employee

  • Include their email, first and last name and choose whether to send an invitation or not.

Create Engagements

Engagements are where your coaches can set up meetings and complete program items that you can assign to them.

  • Go to the Engagements page and click the Create button.

  • Search and select the Coachee and the Coach and click save.

  • Click Start Engagement. The Engagement is Active and ready to use.

Helpful Tip: The engagement is in a draft state until the admin clicks Start Engagement. For more information on how to create and manage engagements, check out the article below.
