Overview
Microsoft Teams is a powerful extension to Microsoft’s email and calendar subscriptions, offering video conferencing and a range of additional features. For Coaching.com users with a Microsoft Teams subscription, the platform seamlessly integrates with connected calendars, enabling the creation of unique meeting invitations for every session. This feature is a game changer for coaches who previously relied on static invitation links or manually updated session locations.
Enabling Microsoft Teams for Meeting Locations
Coaches using Microsoft-based calendars can now enable Microsoft Teams as a meeting location. On the Calendar Settings page, a new button labeled "Add Microsoft Teams as a Meeting Location" will appear next to each Microsoft calendar.
Clicking on the button shown above will start a workflow to verify that Microsoft Teams is an option with your subscription or account with Microsoft. A dialog will be presented that provides information on the next steps.
In order to test for Microsoft Teams eligibility, a test event will be created on the connected calendar and tested for MS Teams functionality. The test event will be immediately removed after testing. If creating the test event is unsuccessful the following dialog will be displayed.
If the test is successful, the following dialog will be displayed.
In the case above, a new Default Meeting location will be added to your Calendar Settings page (as seen below). MS Teams can then be used for scheduling sessions.
Please note that Microsoft Teams may not be available with your email or calendar subscription. It is a paid subscription from Microsoft. More information on Microsoft Teams subscriptions can be found for business and home plans.
