This guide walks you through setting up your profile from start to publish, with tips to make it truly stand out.

✅ Before You Begin
Have these ready:
A clear headshot (professional and friendly).
A short blurb + a deeper “About Me” summary.
Your preferred custom URL.
Coaching experience, education, and credentials (optional, but great to include!).

This guide is for independent coaches who want to build or refine their presence on the Coaching.com Marketplace and start attracting clients directly from the platform.
📋 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Head to Marketplace Settings
You can go to Marketplace Settings in your dashboard.
You’ll see three sections at the top:
Left: View your live Marketplace profile
Middle: Marketplace settings
Right: Create and manage packages
Let’s start in the middle.
2. Claim Your Custom URL
Choose a profile link that reflects your name and brand.
Try:
first-lastname
(Use a hyphen if needed)Click Check Availability
Once confirmed, click Claim
💡 This becomes your public profile link—keep it simple and professional!
3. Fill in Basic Info
Add your details:
First Name
Last Name
Email
Phone Number
Then, toggle the option to allow clients to contact you directly.
Click Confirm and Save.
4. Complete the “About Me” Section
There are two fields here:
A short intro at the top (for quick scanning)
A longer summary underneath
🎯 In your summary, focus on:
Who you work with and how
The types of clients you help
The results they achieve with your coaching
What makes your approach effective
💬 Not perfect? No problem—you can edit anytime!
5. Upload a Profile Photo
Click Update Photo and upload a high-quality image.
Pro tip: Pick one where you look like someone you'd want to coach with—approachable, professional, and confident.
6. Publish Your Profile
Once the basics are in place, click Publish Profile.
You’ll be asked to confirm your details—once you do, your profile goes live. 🎉
7. Go Beyond the Basics (Highly Recommended!)
To really stand out, we suggest completing the rest of your profile:
Intro Video

Specialties, Coaching Types, & Audience
Be intentional. Choose categories that align with one another (e.g., executive presence, emotional intelligence, accountability).
❌ Avoid mismatches like engineering and parenting support unless there’s a clear connection.Experience & Credentials
Add your certifications (e.g., ICF), education, assessments you use, affiliations, and relevant work experience.Modalities
List how you work—e.g., video sessions, phone, chat support, etc.Publications & Media
Include links to podcasts, articles, or talks you’ve been featured in.Client Ratings
